In addition to the publicly staged world of salons, Interintellect has a very involved backstage of members-only gatherings and a big communal forum on Discord.

All hosts may gain entry to our Discord by registering for a free Host membership.

The Discord server brings together Interintellect updates, regional communities, host and series channels, along with a wide array of channels for discussing arts, science, and the good life, as well as for hanging out and entertainment.

As a host, there’s a greenroom to prep before events, a place to review potential salon ideas, spaces for feedback, and more. If you’re hosting or attending IRL, the regional channel is the place to coordinate between host and attendees.

Not sure where to get started? Introduce yourself in the Introductions channel and we’ll point you in the right directions.

Your Name

Our community is built on trust. Therefore, we ask that members, as much as possible, use their real name and a picture of themselves as their avatar.

You can change your nickname by right-clicking on the Interintellect server button to the left, or on the Interintellect server name at the top.

Notifications

By default, you won’t receive notifications from any channels unless you are mentioned directly. We encourage you to activate the notifications on the channels you are most interested in if you don’t want to miss anything.

Similarly, you can mute channels you don’t care about. Considering the large number of channels, we in fact encourage you to do this to craft the best Discord experience for yourself!

Voice Channels

Most channels on our forum are text channels, but the ii Café is a space for voice and video conversations. We have occasional events scheduled in here such as casual hangouts, writing groups, and game nights.

You can jump in any time! To make the most of it, announce this in advance in relevant channels. If you want to schedule an event in the ii Café, let us know!
